🌍 About the Funding Scheme

The GPEDU Research & Innovation Support Grant is open to international students worldwide, with a particular focus on fields such as:

  • Education|Psychology |Sociology |Linguistics
  • Humanities and Social Sciences, and relevant interdisciplinary areas

The aims of the fund include:

  • Promoting academic development
    (e.g., conference participation, paper presentations, publication support)
  • Supporting mental wellbeing
    (e.g., peer support, community-building activities)
  • Strengthening career growth
    (e.g., cross-university engagement, academic community coordination)

🎓 Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the GPEDU Research & Innovation Support Grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:


Applicants must be active GPEDU members and provide complete and valid personal information.

2. Contribution to GPEDU Activities (Not Required)

Applicants are strongly encouragedbut NOT required—to have served an organiser, coordinator, volunteer, or contributor in GPEDU academic or cross-university activities. Such contributions will be considered as a plus (bonus advantage) during review.

Eligible activities may include those:

  • Hosted, co-hosted, or formally recognised by GPEDU
  • Related to academic development, research, or cross-cultural engagement
  • With clearly defined responsibilities (e.g., moderator, event coordinator, organiser)

3. Academic Participation & Contribution

If applying for funding for external academic activities (e.g., conferences, workshops, cross-university exchanges), applicants must:

  • Participate as a Presenter / Speaker / Panelist / Poster Presenter
  • Demonstrate direct relevance to their academic or research development

4. Submission of the Funding Application Form

Applicants must complete the official GPEDU Funding Application Form, which includes:

  • Activity details
  • Funding justification
  • Expected outcomes or impact
  • Personal statement
  • Supporting documents (e.g., acceptance letter, poster confirmation)

All submissions will undergo an independent review by the GPEDU funding committee.

💷 Funding Amount

The GPEDU Research & Innovation Support Grant awards between: £100 – £2,000 per year.

The final amount depends on the number of applications, the nature of the activity, and the applicant’s contribution.
